Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Sit AI iPhone app and the sitai.app website. The short version: your training video is processed on your iPhone, we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data.
In the app
Camera and video
Sit AI uses your camera to detect your dog's posture. This runs on your device. Live video is not uploaded. Clips the app saves stay on your iPhone until you share or delete them.
Optional cloud check
If you turn on "Verify clicks" in Settings, the app sends single still frames from around a click to our AI provider (OpenAI) to double-check the posture. Frames are sent only while this setting is on. This setting is off by default.
Coach
When you ask the coach a question or view a session summary, the app sends your question, your dog's name, age and breed if you entered them, and session numbers (such as reps and success rate) to OpenAI to write the answer. No video or photos are sent.
Voice cues
To make spoken cues that use your dog's name, the app may send that name to our voice provider (ElevenLabs). Nothing else is sent.
Training data you store
Your dog profiles, sessions and progress are stored on your device.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple. We receive subscription status from Apple, not your payment details.
Our providers process data only to provide their service to us, under their own terms. Per OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train its models by default.
On this website
We use PostHog to understand how people use the site (pages viewed, buttons tapped, the link that brought you here). It may set a cookie or use local storage to recognize a returning browser. If you join the early-access list, we store your email address (and your dog's name if you give it) to email you when Sit AI launches.
What we never do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't share training video with advertisers.
- We don't use ad-tracking SDKs in the app.
Your choices and rights
You can delete all app data by deleting the app. To access, correct or delete data we hold about you (such as your early-access email), email hello@sitai.app. We reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have further rights, and you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
Sit AI is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app.
