Getting a good click

  • Prop the phone at your dog's height, 1.5 to 3 meters away, side-on.
  • Keep the whole dog in frame, from nose to tail and paws.
  • Use good light. Avoid a bright window behind your dog.
  • Run the camera check before each session. It tells you if the view is good.
  • Missed a sit? Tap the Click button. Wrong click? Tap Undo. Both help Sit AI learn your dog.

Common questions

How does Sit AI know what my dog is doing?

It uses your iPhone's camera and Apple's on-device animal pose detection to follow your dog's body, so it can see when they sit, stand or lie down. The moment they get it right, it tells you to treat. The video is processed on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on the optional cloud check.

What can my dog learn with it?

Sit, down, stand and more, with new skills added as we go. We only add a skill when the camera can follow it reliably. Our free training guides cover tricks and everyday manners too.

Do I need any gear or training experience?

No. Just your iPhone, somewhere to lean it and some small treats. Sit AI explains each step as you go, so it works even if you have never trained a dog before.

Does it work with puppies?

Yes. Puppies can start at about 8 weeks. Keep sessions to 2–3 minutes and use tiny, soft treats. Sit AI plans short sessions for young dogs.

Does it work with every breed?

Any size and any breed. It works best when your whole dog is in frame from the side, in decent light. Before each session, the camera check tells you if the view is good.

Will my dog only listen when the phone is out?

No. Your cue and your treats do the teaching; the phone just helps you get the timing and the steps right. Once a skill is reliable, Sit AI moves you to your voice cue alone, in new rooms and with more distractions.

How much does it cost?

Try it free for 3 days. After that, it's $39.99 a year (about $3.33 a month) or $9.99 a month. Cancel anytime in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.

Is it on Android?

Not yet. Sit AI is for iPhone (iOS 17 or later).

Can it replace a dog trainer?

For sit, basics and tricks, it is a great place to start. For aggression, fear or reactivity, please work with a certified trainer or a veterinary behaviorist.
